The NGO DARPAN is a one-of-a-kind portal that connects NGOs with important government agencies. The NITI Aayog and the National Informatics Center jointly launched the NGO DARPAN. It enables the exchange of crucial information between volunteer organisations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and government agencies, bodies, and ministries. NGOs will be able to obtain important updates about government grants and other benefits by having completed the NGO DARPAN Registration online.
The NGO DARPAN also known as NITI Aayog registration is a free service provided by the NITI Aayog to NGOs and Voluntary Organizations in order to help them stay informed about new government programmes, grants, or schemes. The platform, which is a collaboration between the NITI Aayog and the National Informatics Center, would assist NGOs and the government develop deeper partnerships. Additionally, completing the NGO DARPAN registration process lends legitimacy and accountability to NGOs. Though the portal was first managed by the Prime Minister’s Office, it was eventually transferred to the NITI Aayog, with assistance from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
Since then, the portal has evolved as an e-government tool to help develop the government’s and non-governmental organisations’ more transparent and healthy interactions. Apart from that, any NGO/VO registered as a Society/Trust/Section 8 Companies of the Companies Act, 2013 can apply for NITI Aayog/ NGO Darpan Registration.
MORE SIMPLE THAN IT LOOKS
Unregistered groups or individuals are now unable to register for the NGO DARPAN scheme through the portal.
The NGO DARPAN portal assists NGOs in obtaining grant information, applying for grants, and tracking the status of their applications. Only Trust, Societies & Section-8 Companies can get NGO Darpan Registration.
To apply for funds, NGOs must first register with NGO DARPAN and generate an ID. After that, users can look through the available links to identify grants and get in touch with Nodal Officers that supervise such programmes for more information.
Due to security reasons, certain characters are not permitted on the website. The form includes a “?” to help users understand certain characters to avoid using, including ‘.’, ‘ ‘, (apostrophe), ‘=’, and a few words

Applicants must only upload copies of the first page and the page with the signature when uploading Trust deeds.
